The collapse of the 12-story building resulted in 98 deaths and was the third-largest building failure in U.S. history

More than 800 members from state and federal task forces, including nearly 400 from Florida, worked 12-hour shifts for 29 days through hazardous conditions to search through over 14,230 tons of debris

Recognizes the heroic efforts of 13 specific search and rescue teams from Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and New Jersey

Directs that a copy of the resolution with the Senate Seal be presented to each named team as recognition of their service
