Revises the definition of "continuous service" in the Florida Retirement System to change "shall be" to "is" for various break-in-service scenarios affecting grammatical construction without changing substantive meaning.

Reduces the reemployment window for law enforcement officers to maintain continuous service from 12 calendar months to 30 calendar days after resignation.

Expands the employment-after-retirement exception to allow retired law enforcement officers to be reemployed by any covered Florida Retirement System employer (not limited to school resource officer positions).

Reduces the waiting period before retired law enforcement officers can receive both salary and retirement benefits from 6 calendar months to 30 calendar days after retirement.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
