SB 734: Vaccinations During Public Health Emergencies

• Removes the State Health Officer's authority to order vaccination of individuals during a declared public health emergency.

• Eliminates vaccination as a permitted action under the State Health Officer's public health emergency powers, while retaining authority to order examination, testing, treatment, isolation, and quarantine.

• Removes the requirement that rules adopted by the Department of Health include provisions related to vaccination as a test or treatment for communicable diseases required before employment or admission to premises.

• Effective date: July 1, 2022.
