Expands the public records exemption for human trafficking victims seeking expunction of criminal records, now allowing expunction of certain offenses listed in s. 775.084(1)(b)1. if the defendant was found guilty, pled guilty, or entered a nolo contendere plea.

Makes petitions for human trafficking victim expunction and all related pleadings and documents confidential and exempt from public records requirements.

Establishes that the expanded exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall automatically repeal on October 2, 2027, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Specifies that expunged criminal history records related to serious offenses remain available to criminal justice agencies, firearm eligibility determinations, and upon court order.

Takes effect July 1, 2022.
