CS/HB 7 (2023) - Pregnancy and Parenting Support

• Prohibits state funds from being used for travel to another state to receive abortion-supporting services, with exceptions for federal law requirements and medical emergencies to save the pregnant woman's life or prevent serious bodily harm.

• Increases gestational age limit for abortion from 6 weeks to 15 weeks, with exceptions for medical emergencies, fetal fatal abnormalities, and pregnancies resulting from rape or incest (requiring documentation).

• Requires physicians to perform abortions and dispense abortion-inducing drugs in person, prohibiting telehealth provision of abortions.

• Appropriates $5 million for Department of Health implementation of pregnancy support initiatives and $25 million for pregnancy and parenting support services through the Florida Pregnancy Care Network.

• Requires annual reporting to the Governor and Legislature on pregnancy support services provided, expenditures, and demographic information on eligible clients served.
