Driver license and identification card applications must provide three gender designation options: male, female, or nonbinary.

Driver licenses and identification cards shall display the applicant's gender designation instead of the previous "sex" designation.

Gender designation terminology replaces "sex" throughout related statutes governing driver licenses, identification cards, replacement licenses, and reporting requirements to school districts.

The bill updates conforming language in sections 98.093, 320.05, 322.091, 322.14, and 322.17 of Florida Statutes to align with the new gender designation requirements.

The act takes effect July 1, 2023.
