CS/HB 707 - Form of Candidate Oath Summary

• Revises Florida Statutes Section 99.021 to change the address requirement on candidate oaths for non-judicial, non-federal candidates from "Address" to "Address of legal residence"

• Revises Florida Statutes Section 105.031 to change the address requirement on judicial candidate oaths from "Address" to "Address of legal residence"

• Clarifies that federal candidates must provide generic "Address" on their oaths, while state and judicial candidates must specifically provide their "legal residence" address

• Applies to all candidates qualifying for nomination or election to state and judicial offices in Florida

• Takes effect July 1, 2023
