Counties and municipalities may establish slow speed, minimum wake boating-restricted areas within 500 feet of sewage pumpout stations at public or private nonresidential marinas, provided the station is within 100 feet of the marked channel of the Florida Intracoastal Waterway

Removes the authority of local governments to require permitting for floating vessel platforms attached to bulkheads where there is no other docking structure, replacing it with the option to require either a permit or a one-time registration

Local governments may require only a one-time registration (not permitting) for all other floating vessel platforms that qualify for the state exemption, where the owner self-certifies compliance with exemption criteria

Local ordinances, codes, or regulations related to building or zoning applied to floating vessel platforms may not be more stringent than the state exemption criteria and must address subjects other than those already covered by the exemption criteria

Effective date is July 1, 2023
