Exempts personal identifying and location information of current or former inspectors or investigators of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services from public records requirements under Florida Statutes s. 119.07(1) and State Constitution Article I, s. 24(a).

Extends exemption to spouses and children of such personnel, including their names, home addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, places of employment, and schools or day care facilities they attend.

Exemption applies to information held by agencies before, on, or after the effective date, with retroactive application allowed.

Exemption subject to Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall stand repealed on October 2, 2028, unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature.

Effective date is July 1, 2023; Legislature finds exemption necessary to protect inspectors and their families from physical harm and threats from disgruntled individuals affected by department scrutiny.
