Preempts all regulation of residential tenancies and landlord-tenant relationships to the state, superseding local government ordinances on tenant screening, security deposits, application fees, rental agreement terms, landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities, and notice requirements

Increases required notice to terminate month-to-month tenancies from 15 days to 30 days prior to the end of any monthly period

Establishes that rental agreements with specific duration may require advance notice of non-renewal from both tenant and landlord, but notice requirements must be between 30 and 60 days (previously had no minimum)
