Creates section 843.31, Florida Statutes, making it unlawful to approach or remain within 20 feet of a first responder after receiving a verbal warning, with intent to impede, threaten, harass, or physically prevent them from performing lawful duties.

Defines "first responder" to include law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical care providers.

Specifies that peaceful audio or video recording and eyewitness observation of first responders constitute legitimate purposes that do not constitute harassment.

Violation is a second-degree misdemeanor, punishable under sections 775.082 or 775.083, Florida Statutes.

Takes effect October 1, 2023.
