Designates the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority in Okaloosa County as an independent special district instead of a dependent special district

Removes the requirement that the authority's fiscal year be concurrent with Okaloosa County's fiscal year, allowing independent fiscal year determination

Eliminates the requirement that the authority submit its annual budget to the board of county commissioners on or before June 1st each year

Retains county commissioners' authority to approve budget amendments that increase the total budget before they become effective

Takes effect July 1, 2023
