Amends s. 119.071, F.S. to make permanent the public records exemption for building plans, blueprints, schematic drawings, and diagrams depicting the internal layout or structural elements of certain facilities held by a government agency, by removing the scheduled October 2, 2023 sunset repeal date.

Removes the provision that previously allowed disclosure of exempt building plan information to other governmental entities performing their duties, to structure owners or their legal representatives, or upon a showing of good cause before a court.

Covered facility types include attractions and recreation facilities, entertainment or resort complexes, industrial complexes, retail and service developments, office developments, health care facilities, and hotel or motel developments, each subject to specific size or capacity thresholds.

Exemption does not apply to comprehensive plans, site plans, or amendments submitted for approval or approved under local land development, zoning, or development-of-regional-impact regulations.

Effective date is October 1, 2023.
