Permits for pari-mutuel wagering and associated cardroom or slot machine licenses may only be held by permitholders with an operating license for fiscal year 2020-2021, permitholders with a permit under s. 550.3345, or approved purchasers, transferees, or assignees of valid permits

No additional pari-mutuel permits may be approved or issued by the commission after January 1, 2021, and existing permits cannot be converted to another class of permit

Pari-mutuel permitholders (except those under s. 550.3345) may not hold a cardroom license unless they held an operating license for pari-mutuel wagering for fiscal year 2020-2021

Thoroughbred permitholders under s. 550.3345 must request a full schedule of live racing to initially obtain a cardroom license and must conduct at least 90 percent of their total live performances to renew the license

The act takes effect upon becoming law
