Recognizes Major General James O. Eifert, Adjutant General of Florida, upon his retirement on April 22, 2023.

Eifert began his military career in 1982 as a fighter jet pilot after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy and served for 13 years in that capacity.

Joined the Florida Air National Guard in 1995 as an F-15 Weapons and Tactics Officer and held numerous leadership positions including Commander of the 125th Fighter Wing and Commander of the Florida Air National Guard.

Flew more than 3,800 hours including 63 combat hours and received multiple military awards including the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, and Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters.

Provided exemplary leadership during his tenure as Adjutant General through response to two major hurricanes, several lesser hurricanes, natural disasters, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
