Designates November 17, 2023, as "Omega Psi Phi Day" in Florida to recognize the fraternity's founding anniversary.

Omega Psi Phi was founded on November 17, 1911, by three Howard University undergraduate students (Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper, and Frank Coleman) and is the first international fraternal organization founded at a historically black college.

The fraternity's four cardinal principles are Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift, adopted during the founding meeting in 1911.

Omega Psi Phi has expanded to 45 chapters throughout Florida and over 700 chapters worldwide with more than 100,000 living members operating in 13 countries.

The House of Representatives recognizes the fraternity's deep commitment to their communities and expresses special appreciation for their service to the State of Florida.
