Designates April 13, 2023, as "FAMU Day" in Florida to recognize Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University's contributions as an institution of higher education.

FAMU was founded October 3, 1887, named a land-grant institution in 1891, and designated a university in 1953; it is Florida's only public historically black college and university (HBCU).

University operates 98 degree programs across 7 colleges and 7 schools, serves more than 9,000 students with 20,000+ first-time-in-college applications, and awarded 2,284 degrees in the 2021-2022 academic year.

FAMU is ranked 103 nationally and has been the highest ranked public HBCU for the past 4 years according to U.S. News & World Report; faculty and staff garnered $75 million in research funding in 2021-2022.

Resolution directs a copy be presented to FAMU President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., as a token of the sentiments expressed in the resolution.
