The Florida House of Representatives honors the 2022-2023 Belen Jesuit Preparatory School Boys' Varsity Basketball Team (the Wolverines) for winning the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 5A State Championship on March 4, 2023.

The team defeated Mainland High School (Buccaneers) from Daytona Beach by a score of 49 to 30 and finished the season with a 28-4 record.

The team achieved Florida High School Athletic Association academic state champions status and accomplished being district champions for the first time in 17 years under Head Coach Gaston "Chachi" Rodriguez.

The 2022-2023 Wolverines made history as the first basketball team from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School to reach the state tournament.

A copy of the resolution will be presented to Coach Chachi Rodriguez and the team as recognition of their historic accomplishments.
