Requires a local licensing agency or the Department of Children and Families to issue a provisional child care license or registration to operators applying for an initial license for a child care facility, family day care home, or large family child care home

Applicants must demonstrate they have made adequate provisions for the health and safety of children in their care

Applicants must provide evidence of completing training pursuant to U.S. Department of Defense Instruction 6060.02 within the previous 6 months

Applicants must have undergone background screening by the U.S. Department of Defense pursuant to 34 U.S.C. § 20351 and 32 C.F.R. Part 86 and received a favorable suitability and fitness determination

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law, amending Section 402.309, Florida Statutes, to streamline provisional licensing for military-affiliated child care providers transitioning to civilian operation
