Requires the Department of Children and Families to inform individuals and organizations implementing the Baker Act (law enforcement, qualified professionals, and service providers) about provisions, policies, procedures, roles, and responsibilities.

Mandates the department maintain an information handbook published and updated on its website annually by October 1.

Mandates the department maintain a repository of frequently asked questions published on its website and continually revised and expanded as necessary.

Requires the department to support and facilitate research by public and private agencies, institutions of higher learning, and hospitals to eliminate and ameliorate mental illness.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
