Raises the compulsory school attendance age from 16 to 18 years old in Florida, requiring all children ages 6-18 to attend school regularly during the school year.

Eliminates the requirement that a student's parent sign the declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment, allowing students age 18 to file the declaration independently.

Removes the requirement that school districts notify parents when they receive a student's declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment.

Maintains requirements for exit interviews with school counselors and surveys to determine reasons for student withdrawal and alternative education options.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
