Expands Medicaid reimbursement for dental services provided by mobile dental units to include those operated by or contracted with the Department of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, nonprofit community health centers, federally approved Head Start centers, accredited dental hygiene programs, and school-based prevention programs

Defines "mobile dental unit" as a nonfacility structure in which dental equipment is transported to and used on a temporary basis at an out-of-office location

Allows dental hygienist licensure applicants to demonstrate clinical skills on either a live patient or a manikin with simulated dentition during the practical examination, rather than only on a manikin

Authorizes the Board of Dentistry to require dental hygiene examination applicants to maintain medical malpractice insurance in amounts sufficient to cover any harm to a patient during the clinical examination

Effective date of July 1, 2023
