Exempts personal identifying information in applications submitted to the Department of State by persons seeking certification as victims of Florida reform school abuse from public records disclosure requirements under Florida Statutes § 119.07(1) and Florida Constitution Article I, § 24(a).

Applies to applications related to victims of the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys and Okeechobee School abuse, as defined in the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys and Okeechobee School Abuse Victim Certification Act.

Legislature finds that releasing personal identifying information could subject abuse victims to further trauma and that protecting the information would encourage victims to come forward and seek redress.

Exemption subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on December 31, 2024, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Effective date contingent upon the enactment of similar legislation (SB _____) in the same legislative session.
