Makes petitions for human trafficking victim expunction and all related pleadings and documents confidential and exempt from public records requirements under Florida law.

Applies the exemption to section 119.07(1) of Florida Statutes and section 24(a), Article I of the State Constitution.

Subjects the confidentiality exemption to the Open Government Sunset Review Act with automatic repeal on October 2, 2028, unless the Legislature reenacts it.

Establishes that protecting expunction petition information is a public necessity to prevent discrimination against trafficking victims seeking to rebuild their lives and employment opportunities.

Effective date: July 1, 2023.
