Warrantors must honor transferred warranties under the original terms and cannot charge fees for the transfer

Transferred warranties do not receive extended terms beyond the original warranty period

HVAC warranties are deemed registered with the manufacturer when a licensed contractor installs the system and provides either the certificate of occupancy date (new construction) or system serial number (existing construction)

Licensed contractors installing new HVAC systems must document the installation with an invoice or receipt provided to the customer
