Mandates designated locations install a purple light on the building exterior for identification, provide 24/7 accessible parking, adequate lighting, and continuous video surveillance that retains recordings for at least 6 months

Allows parents or their designees to use a designated public safe exchange location for child custody exchanges at any time, regardless of what location is specified in the parenting plan or court order

Protects parents from being found in violation of parenting plans or charged with interference with custody for choosing to use a designated public safe exchange location instead of a previously agreed-upon location

Provides immunity to counties, sheriffs, commissioners, law enforcement officers, and employees from lawsuits based on incidents occurring at public safe exchange locations during custody exchanges
