Revises the definition of "nonpartisan office" to remove the prohibition on candidates campaigning based on party affiliation, keeping only the prohibition on qualifying based on party affiliation.

Requires political advertisements for nonpartisan office candidates to include a disclosure statement with the candidate's name and office sought, but does not require party affiliation disclosure.

Requires political advertisements for partisan office candidates to include party affiliation in the disclosure statement.

Removes the prohibition preventing nonpartisan office candidates from disclosing their political party affiliation in advertisements and removes the ban on campaigning based on party affiliation.

Effective date: July 1, 2023.
