Exempts investigative genetic genealogy information and materials from public records disclosure requirements, making them confidential under Florida law.

Defines investigative genetic genealogy as the application of DNA testing combined with genealogical research to develop leads in unsolved violent crimes, missing persons cases, and unidentified remains investigations.

Allows law enforcement agencies to disclose such information in furtherance of official duties or to other governmental agencies, and requires disclosure pursuant to court order for criminal prosecutions with restrictions on public disclosure.

Applies the exemption retroactively to investigative genetic genealogy information and materials held by agencies before, on, or after July 1, 2023.

Exemption sunsets on October 2, 2028, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it.
