Requires adult day care center operators to complete 8 hours of continuing education annually, covering topics including Alzheimer's disease, emergency management, anti-fraud laws, HIPAA compliance, and daily facility management

Continuing education courses must be approved by the Department of Elderly Affairs and may be offered in person or online; online courses require passing an exam with a minimum score of 80%

Compliance with continuing education requirements is mandatory for license renewal; the department may grant extensions up to 1 year for good cause or waivers for operators on active military duty
