Requires all waterway markers to be affixed to plastic breakaway structures or floating buoys rather than steel beams or wood pilings, effective July 1, 2023.

Mandates state and local governmental entities replace existing waterway markers affixed to steel beams or wood pilings with approved structures by January 1, 2024.

Updates application requirements for waterway marker permits to include specification of the structure or buoy to which markers will be attached.

Exempts information markers placed by counties, municipalities, and other governmental entities on inland lakes from permitting requirements.

Incorporates amendments into sections 327.4108 and 403.813 relating to anchoring limitation areas and district permits.
