Creates a new definition for "organ transport vehicle" as any dedicated and marked vehicle operated by an organ procurement organization, transplant center, or contracted service provider to transport organs or surgical teams, with operators required to complete a 16-hour emergency vehicle operator course

Adds organ transport vehicles to the statutory definition of "authorized emergency vehicles," granting them the same legal classification as fire, police, and ambulance vehicles

Authorizes drivers of organ transport vehicles to exercise emergency vehicle privileges (such as exceeding speed limits and proceeding through red lights) when transporting organs or surgical teams en route to a hospital, airport, or other designated location

Permits organ transport vehicles to display red lights and red warning signals while actively transporting organs or surgical teams for organ donation or transplant

Effective date of July 1, 2024
