Initial license application fee for fantasy sports contest operators is $500,000, with annual renewal fees of $250,000, though fees cannot exceed 10 percent of the difference between entry fees collected and cash paid to participants.

Applicants must provide written evidence of proposed entry fees and cash payouts before licensure, and operators must provide actual figures before renewal and remit any fee differences owed to the commission.

Applicants bear all costs for state and federal fingerprint processing and retention, with the commission authorized to charge an additional $2 handling fee per fingerprint set submitted.

All fees collected under this section shall be deposited into the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund.

The act takes effect on the same date that HB 7079 or similar legislation takes effect, if adopted in the same legislative session and becomes law.
