March 8, 2024, is recognized as "International Women's Day" in Florida to celebrate women's achievements and accomplishments.

Approximately 41 percent of Florida Legislature members are women, including 50 representatives and 16 senators.

Approximately 58 percent of women are active in the workforce, with teachers, nurses, and nursing/psychiatric/home health aides being the top three career occupations for women.

Women occupy statewide leadership positions including Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and Senate President.

The 2024 International Women's Day theme is "Inspire Inclusion."
