Designates April 2024 as "Minority Health Month" in Florida to increase awareness of high blood pressure and cholesterol screenings for all residents.

Acknowledges that National Minority Health Month began with National Health Improvement Week in 1915 by Booker T. Washington and was later recognized as a federal initiative by Congress in 2002.

Notes that 35.2 percent of African Americans 18 years and older had high blood pressure in 2021 compared to 28.3 percent of non-Hispanic whites, and African Americans were 30 percent more likely to die from heart disease in 2019.

States that from 2015 to 2018, 50.6 percent of Hispanic adult males and 40.8 percent of females 20 years and older had high blood pressure according to the American Heart Association.

Recognizes that blood pressure and cholesterol can be modified through diet, exercise, and medication.
