Expands the types of child abuse, abandonment, and neglect reports that the Florida Department of Children and Families must refer to Child Protection Teams under the Department of Health for assessment and support services

Requires referral of cases involving a child not properly restrained in a motor vehicle under Florida law when a physician determines the improper restraint worsened the child's injuries or caused the child's death

Requires referral of cases involving a child left unattended or unsupervised in a motor vehicle when such action resulted in injury to the child or the child's death

Mandates referral of any report received from an emergency room physician to a Child Protection Team

Reenacts Section 39.301(14)(c), F.S., relating to protective investigation administrative reviews, to incorporate the new referral requirements; effective date of July 1, 2024
