SB 276 – Review of Advisory Bodies

• Executive agencies with adjunct advisory bodies must annually upload a report by August 15 to a website maintained by the Executive Office of the Governor
• Reports must include each advisory body's statutory authority, purpose, membership details (including vacancies and appointing authorities), and meeting dates for the preceding 3 fiscal years
• Reports must also contain a work plan summary for the current and next 2 fiscal years, the amount of appropriated funds and staff time used to support each body, and the agency's recommendation to continue, terminate, or modify the advisory body
• Any law creating or authorizing an advisory body must include an automatic repeal date of October 2 of the 3rd year after enactment, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it before that date
• Effective date is July 1, 2024
