Authorizes both public and private schools in Florida to acquire, stock, and maintain short-acting bronchodilators (such as albuterol) and related components like spacers and nebulizers, expanding beyond the previous allowance limited to metered dose inhalers for asthmatic students.

Requires participating schools to adopt a physician-developed protocol for administration of short-acting bronchodilators by trained school personnel, covering students with a known asthma diagnosis and, if approved by the school district or private school, students with no known diagnosis experiencing respiratory distress.

Requires schools to provide written notice of the adopted protocol to parents or guardians and obtain prior parental permission before administering a short-acting bronchodilator to a student.

Grants civil and criminal immunity to trained school nurses, school personnel, their employing schools or districts, and authorized health care practitioners who prescribe or dispense short-acting bronchodilators in good faith and in compliance with the law.

Allows schools to obtain short-acting bronchodilators through prescriptions issued in the school's name, wholesale distributors, manufacturer arrangements at fair-market, free, or reduced prices, or donations meeting FDA compliance and other safety requirements, effective July 1, 2024.
