Contracts awarded by governmental entities, consortiums, or cooperatives outside Florida may not be used to procure contracts with manufacturers or vendors of traffic enforcement camera systems, including school bus infraction detection systems and speed detection systems, effective July 1, 2025

Governmental entities are prohibited from knowingly entering into or renewing contracts for traffic enforcement camera systems with vendors owned by or subject to a controlling interest of a foreign country of concern, effective July 1, 2025

Counties or municipalities seeking to place or install new traffic infraction detectors on or after July 1, 2025 must enact an ordinance after a public hearing that considers traffic data and determines whether the intersection poses a heightened safety risk warranting additional enforcement

Counties or municipalities operating traffic infraction detectors must annually report results at a regular or special governing body meeting, including a written summary read aloud detailing violations issued, contested, upheld, dismissed, paid, and how collected funds were distributed; reports, contracts, and renewals may not be placed on a consent agenda

Noncompliant counties or municipalities are suspended from operating traffic infraction detectors until corrections are made, and the Department of Transportation must publish each county or municipality report on its website
