Personal identifying information of occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants obtained from the Occupational Therapy Compact Commission's coordinated database is exempt from public records requirements, except for the person's name, licensure status, and licensure number; disclosure is permitted only if authorized by the state that originally reported the information.

Meetings or portions of meetings of the Occupational Therapy Compact Commission, its executive committee, or other committees where matters exempted from disclosure by federal or state law are discussed are exempt from public meetings requirements.

Recordings, minutes, and records generated during exempt meetings or exempt portions of meetings are also exempt from public records requirements.

Exemptions are subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will stand repealed on October 2, 2030, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

The act takes effect contingent on the passage of HB 909 or similar legislation (the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact) in the same legislative session.
