Prohibits food establishments in Florida from manufacturing, selling, or distributing food containing nine specified chemical additives beginning January 1, 2028

Banned substances include brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, propylparaben, Red dye 3, Blue dye 1, Yellow dye 5, benzidine, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)

First-time violations are subject to a Class II administrative fine under s. 570.971; second or subsequent violations are subject to a Class III administrative fine

Introduced by Senator Martin and creates a new section 500.454 of Florida Statutes

The act takes effect July 1, 2025, with enforcement of the chemical additive ban beginning January 1, 2028
