Prohibits laboratories in Florida from using any operational or research software for genetic sequencing that is produced in or by a foreign country of concern, a state-owned enterprise of such a country, or a company domiciled within such a country

Defines "foreign country of concern" as China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, the Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro, or Syria, including any agency of such countries

Protects healthcare licensees from loss of license, insurability impacts, or civil/criminal liability when they fail to obtain assurances from indirect interest holders regarding foreign country of concern ties, unless the licensee has actual knowledge of noncompliance by a foreign principal from a foreign country of concern

Defines "indirect interest holder" as a person or entity owning less than 5 percent of the licensee, less than 5 percent in a management company contracting with the licensee, or holding equities in a publicly traded company with a controlling or noncontrolling interest in the licensee

Takes effect July 1, 2025
