SB 1380 – Protect Reproductive Options Act (Florida)

• Creates Part VI of Chapter 760, Florida Statutes, titled "Reproductive Health Rights," cited as the "Protect Reproductive Options Act," sponsored by Senator Arrington
• Defines "reproductive health care" broadly to include contraception, sterilization, preconception care, maternity care, abortion care, family planning, fertility services, and related counseling
• Establishes that every individual has a fundamental right to make autonomous decisions about their own reproductive health, including the right to use or refuse reproductive health care
• Guarantees that every pregnant individual has a fundamental right to continue a pregnancy and give birth or to obtain an abortion, notwithstanding Chapter 390 (Florida's existing abortion regulations) or any other contrary law
• Prohibits local units of government from regulating an individual's reproductive freedom in a manner more restrictive than what the act provides
