Electronic submissions to the uniform mitigation verification inspection form database—including policyholder names, phone numbers, email addresses, insurance company names, and policy numbers—are made confidential and exempt from Florida's public records requirements under s. 119.07(1) and the State Constitution

The exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2030, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it

The Legislature declares a public necessity for the exemption, citing risks that aggregated personal identifying information could be exploited via the Internet and could also reveal insurer trade secrets protected under s. 624.4213

The statewide database is to be operated by the Office of Insurance Regulation, and the Legislature finds that public disclosure of the data could hinder effective administration of the database

The act's effective date is contingent on the passage and enactment of SB 1656 (or similar legislation) during the same 2025 Regular Session, which establishes the underlying database and electronic submission requirements
