Veterinary establishments must post a clear, conspicuous sign near the point of sale notifying clients of their prescription options under Florida law

Acknowledgment forms are prohibited from including statements, warnings, or assumptions about the efficacy or safety of filling prescriptions at outside pharmacies

Exceptions apply when immediate dispensing is necessary to preserve life or prevent suffering, or when the prescription is for a controlled substance restricted by federal or state law
