Average salary for correctional officers, correctional probation officers, and institutional security specialists must be at least 97% of the average salary of sworn state law enforcement officers beginning July 1, 2030

Annual salary increases of at least 3% required for sworn law enforcement officers, correctional officers, correctional probation officers, and institutional security specialists starting in fiscal year 2026-2027

Department of Management Services must submit annual compensation analysis reports to the Governor and legislative leaders beginning July 1, 2027

Governor may authorize correctional officers, correctional probation officers, and institutional security specialists to assist state or federal agencies (including DHS and ICE) during declared emergencies for up to 60 days, renewable in 30-day increments

Eligibility for emergency deployment requires active state employment, Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission certification, and at least 5 years of continuous full-time service
