Pawnbroker transaction records delivered to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are made confidential and exempt from public records requirements under s. 119.07(1) and the State Constitution

Records may only be used for official law enforcement purposes, though disclosure of pawnbroker name/address, customer name/address, and property descriptions to alleged owners of pawned property is permitted

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and will automatically repeal on October 2, 2031, unless reenacted by the Legislature

Effective date is contingent on passage of HB 1345 or similar legislation in the same legislative session
