Beginning January 1, 2027, the Agency for Health Care Administration must reimburse licensed nonnursing service providers (such as home health agencies and nurse registries) at rates equal to or higher than rates paid to unlicensed providers (such as family caregivers) under the Medicaid long-term managed care program

The agency must annually adjust reimbursement rates for licensed providers to account for inflation and overhead costs

Within 30 days of the act's effective date, the agency must request any Medicaid waiver or state plan amendment necessary to implement the rate changes

The act takes effect upon becoming law
