Governmental entities in Florida are prohibited from displaying any flag on real property except those on an approved list, which includes U.S., state, local government, military branch, POW-MIA, federally recognized Indian tribe, public school/university, historically significant, and Olympic/Paralympic/sporting organization flags

Authorized flags may not contain imagery representing political partisanship, political ideology, race, gender, or sexual orientation

Violations carry a civil fine of $500 per day, with proceeds collected by the Department of State deposited into the General Revenue Fund

Local governments are prohibited from adopting ordinances authorizing their official flag to depict political partisanship, political ideology, race, gender, or sexual orientation; any conflicting ordinances are declared void
