Creates section 99.122, Florida Statutes, requiring the Department of Law Enforcement to provide protective security details to Governor and Lieutenant Governor nominees from major political parties

Security protection begins immediately upon adjournment of the Elections Canvassing Commission meeting that certifies primary election results

Protection continues until the nominee concedes the general election or until the Elections Canvassing Commission certifies general election results, whichever occurs first

Officers-elect continue receiving protective security details until they officially assume office

Excludes nominees from minor political parties from receiving this security protection

Takes effect July 1, 2026
