Each district school board, Florida College System institution, and state university must designate a Title VI coordinator with expertise in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Florida's nondiscrimination law (s. 1000.05)

Title VI coordinators must oversee compliance, promote equal access to programs and activities, provide training on Title VI law, maintain complaint records, and advise on corrective measures

Persons alleging discrimination may file complaints with the district school superintendent, dean of students, or Title VI coordinator; parents may file on behalf of minor children

State Board of Education must adopt rules for K-12 implementation; State Board of Education and Board of Governors must adopt rules for college and university implementation
